LACES Credit Hours Approved. Climate change is already affecting plants and the natural world. Even under the most optimistic emissions scenarios our climate will continue to change. The time is now to understand, adapt to, and inform the public about the changing climate. One of the most pragmatic approaches to dealing with climate change is to bank seeds in order to have material for future restoration programs, as well as plant collections. This session will cover innovative outreach programs, research related to range shifts of both native and cultivated taxa and the national seed banking program, Seeds of Success.
This session has been approved for 1.5 credit hours by The Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System.
