Calling all curators, collection managers, plant recorders and others: WE NEED YOU to join the NAPCC reviewer pool. The North American Plant Collections Consortium (NAPCC) is the recognized standard for excellence in plant collections management, and coordinates a continent-wide approach to plant preservation among public gardens. Participants learn how to conduct an NAPCC site review. They become familiar with all application types, consider new program developments, and accreditation recommendation options. This workshop is held at an NAPCC participating institution to utilize its collections, staff, and facilities for experiential learning. It walks participants through the process utilizing group consultation guided by mentor reviewers and NAPCC leaders, culminating in a hands-on review of two collections with different outcomes.
*This is an offsite workshop which will take place at the Denver Botanic Gardens, York St. Transportation provided.
