Whether you are in a conservation department or not, you have a valuable opinion on how to improve conservation at botanical gardens and develop more effective programs for connecting people to plants in a changing world. We will explore how multiple departments in botanical gardens have an important role to play in meeting international goals for conservation and beyond. This builds upon the results of a successful workshop held at the Arnold Arboretum and follow-up survey of 14 gardens in 2013. Participants will learn about what strategies and tools have been most successful for gardens that are most effective in conservation and research. Participants will also contribute to development of benchmarks for tracking success.
