Session 1: Sculpture Placement Through the Eyes of a Horticulturist More and more, sculpture and other forms of artwork are being added to traditional garden spaces. When incorporated in a thoughtful and intentional manner, the combination of art and horticulture can be extraordinary. Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park has succeeded from the very beginning by embracing the formula of sculpture and horticulture, together, as an intentional part of the design. This presentation will discuss several of the fundamental ideas and processes that have lead to this successful formula, particularly with regard to the perspective of the horticulture department.
